Vancouver Oakridge

Vancouver Oakridge is bordered by the major thoroughfare Granville Street on the west and Main Street on the east. West 41st Avenue marks the north border, with West 57th Avenue as the southern edge of the neighbourhood. Oak Street and Cambie Street run north-south through Oakridge, providing easy access to Richmond to the south, and Downtown Vancouver to the north. Vancouver Oakridge covers an area around 990 acres.

Oakridge neighborhood

The Oakridge neighborhood is ethnically diverse. It was dominated by bungalow homes constructed in the 1950s and 1960s, however in the last 10 years many of these smaller houses have been torn town, and have been replaced by larger multi-level residences. Single family homes may range in price from $1.0 for the older homes to $3.0 million for newer homes.

South Cambie

South Cambie located north of Oakridge, wedged between Queen Elizabeth Park on the slopes of Vancouver's Little Mountain to the east and the high-priced homes of Shaughnessy on the west. South Cambie is a narrow strip of land covering an area around 536 acres. It is located between the busy north-south corridors of Oak Street and Cambie Street, and stretches from West 16th Avenue in the north to West 41st in the south. The recently constructed Canadian Line connecting Downtown Vancouver to Richmond runs along and under Cambie Street. Single family home prices in South Cambie may range from $1.30 to $3.00 million.

Marpole area

Marpole is located to the south of Oakridge, on the southern edge of the city of Vancouver, immediately northeast of Vancouver International Airport. It is approximately bordered by Angus Drive to the west, 57th Avenue to the north, Main Street to the east and the Fraser River to the south.
